USC earned four points to UCLA's three, as both programs split four races. USC won the second varsity four (one point) before the Bruins responded with a victory in the second varsity eight (two points). After USC won the varsity eight race (three points), UCLA answered with a win in the third varsity eight (one point).
The Women of Troy won by over nine seconds in the varsity four, posting a time of 7:12.90. The Bruins posted a V4+ time of 7:22.10.
UCLA cruised past USC in the second varsity eight, registering a time of 6:23.80, more than seven seconds ahead of the Women of Troy (7:31.60).
USC earned a first-place finish in the varsity eight race, posting a time of 6:16.00. UCLA crossed the finish line in 6:19.10.
In the final race of the afternoon, UCLA's third varsity eight crossed the finish line 19 seconds ahead of USC. The Bruins posted a final race time of 6:54.00, well ahead of USC's 7:19.00.
Following the Bruins' races on Saturday, UCLA honored 10 of its seniors with a special “Senior Day” ceremony at the team's boathouse.
UCLA will return to action competing in the Clemson Invitational on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. The Clemson Invitational is among the largest regattas the Southeast has to offer.
