No. 16 UCLA Women's Rowing Finishes Day One at Clemson Invitational

UCLA raced two eights and two fours in a morning and an afternoon session. The Bruins will conclude their races in a morning session on Lake Hartwell this Sunday.
The Bruins' second varsity eight crew registered UCLA's best result in the afternoon, racing to a second-place finish with a time of 6:32.70, just 0.70 seconds behind first-place Virginia. The 2V8+ finished fourth in the morning session (6:42.80), finishing behind Virginia, Ohio State and Harvard.
The varsity eight finished sixth in the morning session and fifth in the afternoon. UCLA's V8+ posted a time of 6:46.00 in its initial race on Saturday before clocking a time of 6:34.90 in the early evening.
UCLA's varsity four crew finished fifth out of seven boats in each of its two races on Saturday. In the morning session, the V4+ posted a time of 7:39.30, while UCLA crossed the finish line in 7:38.00 in the early evening.
The second varsity four posted fourth-place and fifth-place finishes in each of its races. The 2V4+ crew finished in a time of 7:48.80 in the morning session. UCLA posted a time of 7:35.60 in its second race of the day.
