2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Begins Saturday

Three UCLA women's soccer alumnae will participate in the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, which begins Saturday, June 6 in Canada.

Recent UCLA graduate Rosie White (2011-14) and the New Zealand National Team play in the second match of the tournament on Saturday at 6pm PT, facing the Netherlands. The match will be televised on Fox Sports 2. The Football Ferns play Canada on Thursday, June 11 at 6pm PT on Fox Sports 1 and finish up group play on Monday, June 15 against China at 4:30pm PT on Fox Sports 2.

The U.S. Women's National Team, which includes UCLA alumnae Lauren Holiday (2006-09) and Sydney Leroux (2008-11) and is coached by former UCLA head coach Jillian Ellis (1999-2010), plays Australia in its opening game on Monday, June 8 at 4:30pm PT. The match will be televised on Fox Sports 1. The U.S. will face Sweden on Friday, June 12 at 5pm PT on FOX before closing group play with a Tuesday, June 16 match against Nigeria at 5pm PT on FOX.

This will be the second Women's World Cup appearance for both White and Holiday and the first for Leroux.
