Bruins Wrap up Play at UCSB Classic

Santa Barbara, Calif. - Men's tennis players Maxime Cressy and Daniel Gealer took home the doubles title in the Flight-A Draw at the UCSB Classic on Sunday, as the Bruins wrapped up action in UC Santa Barbara's fall tournament.
Cressy and Gealer took on Oregon's Ty Gentry and Simon Stevens in Sunday's final, prevailing 8-5. The Bruin duo was undefeated in their three matches in the tournament.
Cressy also appeared in the Flight-A singles final on Sunday, suffering a 6-3, 6-7(1), 6-3 loss to hometown favorite Morgan Mays of UCSB. In the Flight-B consolation singles final, Gealer was able to take home the hardware in impressive fashion, downing Manuel De Luis Lamales of St. Mary's, 6-0, 6-1.
Other Bruins in action on Sunday included freshman Ben Goldberg, who suffered a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 loss to James Wade of UC Davis in consolation singles action, and Michael Guzman, who teamed with Goldberg in the Flight-C Doubles draw, dropping a 3rd/4th place match to UCSB's Teague Hamilton/Cody Rakela, 8-6.
