
Vu -1 in Round Two, Bruins 12th

NEW ORLEANS - Freshman Lilia Vu was the lone Bruin under par during Monday's second round of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, firing a 1-under 71 at the English Turn Golf and Country Club. As a team, UCLA is 12th (+15, 591).
Vu is tied for 12th through two rounds at 1-under (143). With a shotgun start on the 10th, the freshman made birdies on the 11th, 14th, 16th and sixth to go with three bogeys. Junior Bronte Law rebounded with an even-par 72 on Monday and is tied for 48th after 36 holes at +6 (150). On Tuesday, she started on the 11th and made birdie, also posting birdies on the sixth and ninth to go with a triple bogey on the fourth.
Freshman Bethany Wu is tied for 28th overall at +2 (146). She shot a 2-over 74 on Monday. After starting with three straight bogeys (10-12), she birdied the 18th and sixth, to go with a bogey on the 3rd. Senior Louise Ridderström is tied for 56th (+8, 152) after a second-straight round of 76 (+4). Her lone birdie was on the second to go with five bogeys.
Sophomore Erin Choi, playing as an individual, was 5-over (77) on Tuesday and is tied for 80th overall (+14, 158). Starting on the 18th, she birdied the second and 10th, making five bogeys and a double. Sophomore Lydia Choi shot a non-team scoring +8 (80) in round two following four bogeys and two doubles and is 84th (+17, 161).
It will be another shotgun start on Tuesday at 8 a.m. CT/6 a.m. PT, with the Bruins teeing off on holes #10-#12 in the order of Wu, Vu, Ridderström , Law and Lydia Choi. Erin Choi will go off on the 18th.
