adidas Unveils Made in March Uniforms
March 01, 2016 | Women's Basketball
adidas unveiled the 2016 UCLA Made in March Uniform Collection today, a set of alternate uniforms created for the Bruins to wear during tournament season.
Drawing inspiration from legendary Coach John Wooden's Pyramid of Success, the uniform collection features subtle design elements that pay tribute to a uniquely UCLA heritage established under the iconic coach. Most notably, in a nod to his legacy of competitive greatness, the Made in March shorts feature a tonal pyramid pattern along the waistband.
The collection, designed with blue, white and gold tones, features a dual-color treatment on the jersey collar and short hem while UCLA's traditional block letter design is emblazoned across the chest. The shorts, in addition to the pyramid pattern, utilize a terrycloth UCLA logo for sweat management during the game's biggest moments.
To give players optimum performance on the court, the uniforms feature the same lightweight, sweat-wicking technology used in the NBA. Targeted ventilation zones on the chest, back and side keep players cool even in the most intense moments of the game. A mid-hole mesh on the short maximizes comfort and breathability as the game heats up.
Complementing the Made in March uniform collection, the Bruins will lace up the latest adidas basketball footwear that includes special editions of both the Crazylight Boost 2.5 Low and D Lillard 2 in team colors.
The 2016 Made in March uniforms debut on court in conjunction with the Bruins' opening game of the Pac-12 Tournament. Fans can grab their team gear at adidas.com and/or at the UCLA Store on campus or online (click here) beginning this March.
