Bruins Finish Day One in Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Senior Lorens Chan and sophomore Corey Shaun each posted the best scores of the day for the Bruins in the opening round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters on Monday.
Chan and Shaun are each tied for 47th at 4-over. Chan made two birdies on the fourth and ninth to go with two bogeys and two double bogeys, while Shaun also had two birdies (#6 and #13) with six bogeys. Senior Jonathan Garrick and freshman Cole Madey are tied for 65th at 6-over (78). Garrick birdied the fourth and ninth holes, while also making three bogeys, a double and a triple. Madey gained strokes on the sixth and 16th to go with three bogeys, a double and a triple. Freshman Phil Delisi shot an 83 (+11) with six bogeys, a double and a triple and is 78th.
As a team, the Bruins are 15th (+20, 308). UCLA tees off on the 10th hole on Tuesday at 9:10 a.m. in the order of Delisi, Madey, Garrick, Shaun and Chan. Live scoring will be available here.
