SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The fourth-ranked UCLA men's tennis team blanked No. 72 Utah on Sunday afternoon. With the 4-0 win, the Bruins improve to 18-2 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.

UCLA set the pace of the match in doubles play, quickly clinching the point on courts 1 and 2. The fifth-ranked duo of Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Redlicki coasted past Utah's Dan Little and Matt Crowley, 6-2, on court 1 to get things started. Karue Sell and Joseph Di Giulio followed suit on court 2 with a 6-4 win over Jamey Swiggart and Parker McGuiness. The Bruins held a 1-0 advantage heading into singles.
In singles play, UCLA rattled off three straight wins to clinch the match. After registering the clincher against Arizona on Friday, No. 47 Redlicki tallied the Bruins' first singles win on Sunday. The sophomore dispatched David Micevski in straights on court 2 to give UCLA a 2-0 lead.
Next up, No. 77 Sell improved his unblemished dual match singles record to 16-0 when he downed Ebgert Weverink in straight sets on court 4. The clincher came from the bottom of the lineup. Di Giulio posted a straight-set win over Swiggart on court 6 to take the match, 4-0, for the Bruins.
This week, UCLA hosts UC San Diego on Thursday at 2 pm PDT at Sunset Recreation. On Sunday, the Bruins travel crosstown for a doubleheader with the women's tennis team against the USC Trojans. Action begins with doubles at 12:30 pm PDT. Men's singles kicks off at 1:30 pm, followed by women's singles. Singles play will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks.
