Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year – Mackenzie McDonald, UCLA
For the second-straight year, McDonald has been named the Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year. Â The junior won UCLA's 12th and the Pac-12's 45th all-time NCAA Singles Championship. Â As the No. 6 seed overall, McDonald defeated No. 1 seed Mikael Torpegaard of Ohio State in the final. Â McDonald also led the way for his team to sweep the Pac-12 regular season and tournament titles, posting a 22-1 record on the year. Â He was a four-time Pac-12 Player of the Week during the season. Â UCLA has now claimed 11 Pac-12 Singles Player of the Year honors dating back to 1976.Â
Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year – Mackenzie McDonald and Martin Redlicki, UCLA
McDonald and Redlicki are the sixth UCLA duo to claim the Pac-12 Doubles Team of the Year accolades dating back to the award's inception in 2000 and the first since 2007. Â The duo won UCLA's 11th and the Pac-12's 57th all-time NCAA doubles title (the first for UCLA since 1996). Â This is the first time in 45 years that UCLA has won both the NCAA singles and doubles titles in the same year, a feat that has only happened five times before in school history. Â The Bruin duo finished the season with an 18-6 overall record and a 10-5 mark against ranked opponents.
