DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bruin alum Brianna Do finished tied for 16th this weekend at the third stage of LPGA and Symetra Tour Qualifying Tournament at the Hills Course at LPGA International (Nov. 29-Dec. 3). Do fired a closing-round 68 (-4) to finish at -3 (357).
Do shot a pair of under-par rounds, posting a 1-under 71 in round one and a 2-under 70 in round three (75 in round two and 73 in round four). An LPGA Tour rookie in 2013, she made five cuts in 10 starts in 2017, tying for 26th at the ShopRite LPGA Classic in June, which was a career-best finish. In 2015, Do posted seven Top 10 finishes on the Symetra Tour to finish third on the Volvik Race for the Card money list and earn her LPGA card for 2016.
"Honestly, I'm pretty speechless right now after finishing in the Top 20," Do told the LPGA website. "My game has been trending in the right direction towards the end of the season and these last two months preparing for finals. To see all my hard work pay off is amazing. I can't wait for 2018!"
