
UCLA Rowing to Face Stanford, SDSU

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's rowing team will race against Stanford and San Diego State in Marina del Rey, Calif., on Saturday morning.
Racing gets underway at Ballona Creek, adjacent to UCLA's boathouse, at 8:00 a.m.
The Bruins have five races scheduled from 8-9 a.m. against Stanford and San Diego State. The morning's schedule will begin with the open four race at 8 a.m., followed by the third varsity eight at 8:15 a.m. The second varsity four race is slated for 8:30 a.m., with the second varsity eight to follow at 8:45 a.m.
The morning's races will conclude at 9 a.m. with the varsity eight race.
UCLA opened its spring season with multiple first-place finishes at the UC Challenge Cup on Saturday, March 4, in Newport Beach, Calif.
This Saturday's event in Marina del Rey, Calif., will mark UCLA's final early-season race until competing at the two-day San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay (April 1-2).
Getting to UCLA's Boathouse
The Bruins boathouse is located at 14001 Fiji Way (Marina del Rey, CA 90292). From the 405 freeway, take the 90 West (Marina del Rey Freeway) and follow that route until its end. The freeway turns into a surface street. Make a left on Mindanao. Turn left to Lincoln Blvd. Make a right to Fiji Way.
The Aquatic Center is located at the end of Fiji Way behind an apartment complex. Parking at the boathouse is only available on non-race days. On UCLA's race days, parking is available off Fiji Way at the Fisherman's Village, which is a five-minute walk from the boathouse. Spectators can also park at Dock 52, a 15-minute walk from the boathouse. There is no cost to attend any UCLA rowing events in Marina del Rey, Calif.
