Peng-Peng Lee Named West Region Gymnast of Year

UCLA redshirt senior Christine Peng-Peng Lee has been named the 2017 NACGC/W West Region Gymnast of the Year.
Lee has had a standout 2017 season, being named a finalist for the AAI Award and earning UCLA's first-ever Pac-12 Specialist of the Year honor. She has scored two perfect 10s on uneven bars, along with three other scores of 9.95 or higher. Lee also has six scores of 9.9 or better on beam, including a 9.975. Lee leads the Bruin team in uneven bars victories with seven and ranks second on the team with seven 9.95+ scores and third with 15 9.9+ scores despite competing on just two events. She finished the regular season ranked in the Top 20 on those two events โ No. 3 on uneven bars and No. 17 on balance beam.
The five-time All-American has also been a standout in the classroom, earning Pac-12 All-Academic honors the last three seasons.
