
UCLA Rowing to Face No. 13 USC

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's rowing program will host a dual meet against No. 13 USC on Sunday, April 30, with races beginning at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Ballona Creek in Marina del Rey, Calif.
The Bruins and the Women of Troy will open Sunday's racing with the third varsity eight taking the water at 1:45 p.m. The varsity four race will begin at 2:00 p.m., while the second varsity eight will follow at 2:15 p.m. The two schools' varsity eight crews will race at 2:30 p.m.
Following the races, UCLA will honor its seniors as they take part in their final home rowing event of their collegiate careers.
In addition, the Bruins' rowing program will christen one of their boats in honor of Kirstin Snook, who passed away last year and rowed in UCLA's program from 2010-13.
UCLA hosts its home rowing events on Ballona Creek in Marina del Rey, located at the end of Fiji Way.
Getting to UCLA's Boathouse
The Bruins boathouse is located at 14001 Fiji Way (Marina del Rey, CA 90292). From the 405 freeway, take the 90 West (Marina del Rey Freeway) and follow that route until its end. The freeway turns into a surface street. Make a left on Mindanao. Turn left to Lincoln Blvd. Make a right to Fiji Way.
The Aquatic Center is located at the end of Fiji Way behind an apartment complex. Parking at the boathouse is only available on non-race days. On UCLA's race days, parking is available off Fiji Way at the Fisherman's Village, which is a five-minute walk from the boathouse. Spectators can also park at Dock 52, a 15-minute walk from the boathouse. There is no cost to attend any UCLA rowing event.
