TEMPE, Ariz. - Junior Kylee Perez went 4-for-4 with a career-high five runs batted in, including a grand slam, as the 10th-ranked Bruins completed the regular season by finishing a sweep of #22 Arizona State on Saturday in a 12-3, five-inning triumph at Farrington Stadium.

The Bruins (42-13, 16-8 Pac-12) had 15 hits from eight different players, as sophomore Brianna Tautalafua produced three hits, while senior Delaney Spaulding and redshirt freshman Rachel Garcia added two hits apiece. In the circle, Garcia (18-7) struck out three in five innings, giving up three solo homers and a walk. She had 1-2-3 innings in the first, third and fourth.

UCLA received a gift from the sun in the top of the first. Perez had a one-out single to left-center, moved to second on an infield single by Tautalafua and scored on a two-out, pop-fly single by Garcia that was lost in the sun by the Arizona State (30-20, 9-15) second baseman.

The Bruins added three more in the second. Freshman Bubba Nickles led off with a double to right-center, moved to third on a sacrifice by sophomore Paige Halstead and scored one-out later on a comebacker off the ASU pitcher from Spaulding. Perez followed with a double to left-center to plate Spaulding, while Tautalafua doubled down the left-field line to bring in Perez to make it 4-0.

Arizona State got on the board in the second on solo homers by Ulufa Leiluaย and Margaret Stahm, but the Bruins responded with a run in the third. Garcia led off with a walk, moved to second on a sacrifice by senior Gabrielle Maurice and scored one out later on a single up the middle by Halstead to make it 5-2.

UCLA broke it open with three in the fourth. After a leadoff walk to Spaulding and a Perez single to right, Tautalafua singled up the middle, with an error by the ASU center fielder bringing home Spaulding to make it 6-2. As the ball came back in the infield, a bad throw by the Sun Devils' shortstop sailed into the ASU dugout to allow both Perez and Tautalafua to score to extend the lead to 8-2.

In the fifth, the Bruins brought out the mercy rule. Halstead led off by reaching on a strikeout-passed ball, with freshman Jenna Crawford coming in to run. After singles by sophomore Zoe Shaw and Spaulding loaded the bases, Perez launched her second homer of the season to right to put the Bruins ahead 12-2. The Sun Devils would get another homer by Stahm in the bottom of the fifth, but UCLA wrapped up the 12-3 victory to close out the sweep.

The Bruins learn where their postseason journey begins on Sunday when ESPN2 airs the NCAA Selection Show at 7 p.m.
