SAN FRANCISCO - Three Bruins were named to the All-Pac-12 teams, as announced by the conference. Hidetoshi Yoshihara earned All-Pac-12 Second Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors, while junior Tyler Collier and sophomore Cole Madey each picked up All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention accolades.
Yoshihara leads the Bruins in scoring average at 72.0, having posting four Top 10s, including a win at the final event of the regular season, The Maxwell (April 14-15). The freshman was the lone player under par during the tournament, recording a 1-under 209 thanks in part to a second-round 66 (-4). Yoshihara's other Top 10 showings came at The Hayt (Feb. 24-26), where he finished fourth (-4, 212), the Lamkin San Diego Classic (March 13-14), where he placed T-5 (-5, 211) and the Gifford Collegiate (Nov. 7), where he tied for sixth (-6, 138). He has 10 rounds under par this season and six in the 60s, with his lowest score to par being a 6-under 66 in the second round of the Gifford.
Madey, who was All-Pac-12 Freshman a year ago, is second on the team in scoring average at 72.6, recording three Top 10s and six Top 20 showings. Madey also tied for seventh at the Lamkin Classic (-4, 212) and tied for 10th at the season-opening Marquette Intercollegiate (Oct. 2-3, +1, 211).
