Bruins' Season Ends With Loss to Washington

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Redshirt freshman Rachel Garcia had seven strikeouts in a complete-game, five-hitter, but the fifth-seeded Bruins saw their season come to an end on Saturday night in a 1-0 loss to #6 Washington at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium.
Garcia struck out a pair in the fifth and seventh innings, posting a 1-2-3 frame in the fifth. She allowed a run and one walk. The Bruins (48-15) had just two hits.
The game's lone run came in the sixth on a solo homer by Ali Aguilar.
UCLA had five baserunners for the game on a first-inning single by sophomore Brianna Tautalafua and a fifth-inning double from sophomore Zoe Shaw, also picking up three walks. The Bruins had just two runners reach second base, as Perez was stranded at third in the fourth.
