Preseason National Polls and ESPN TV Games Out

Both preseason national polls were announced on Tuesday, as well as the ESPN Family of Networks softball schedule, with UCLA being featured twice.
The Bruins are ranked fourth in the ESPN.com/USA Softball rankings, earning 410 points and one of 20 first-place votes. In the USA Today/NFCA poll, UCLA is ranked fifth, receiving 645 points.
UCLA is one of six Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 25 of both polls: Oregon (#3 USA Softball/#3 NFCA), Washington (#4 NFCA/#5 USA Softball), Arizona (#7 USA Softball/#7 NFCA), Utah (#15 NFCA/#16 USA Softball) and Arizona State (#19 USA Softball/#23 NFCA), with California also receiving votes in both polls.
Also on Tuesday, ESPN announced its television coverage for the 2018 season. The Bruins will be featured on ESPNU on Friday, April 13 at Arizona (7:30 p.m.) and on ESPN2 on Saturday, April 21 at home against Washington (1 p.m.). UCLA will be televised 18 times during the regular season, with 16 games being shown on Pac-12 Networks (at Oregon - March 16-18, at Utah - March 29-31, at Arizona - April 14-15, vs. Washington - April 20 & 22, at California - May 4-6, vs. Arizona State - May 10-12).
The Bruins open their 2018 season next Friday, Feb. 9 at Easton Stadium with a doubleheader against Maryland and Middle Tennessee, starting at 3:30 p.m. Live audio will be available for both contests at UCLABruins.com.
