LOS ANGELES – The No. 23 UCLA women's basketball team will look to notch its first top-25 win of the year when the Bruins host (No. 14/13) Georgia on Wednesday morning. Tip-off at Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom is set for 11:06 a.m. (PT) on the Pac-12 Networks (Los Angeles).

UCLA collected its first win of the 2018-19 season on Nov. 11 against Rice by a final count of 59-50.
The Bruins held Rice to just 38.1 percent shooting and scored 19 points off 20 Owl turnovers. UCLA also owned the glass, 37-31, pulling down 18 offensive rebounds on the afternoon.
Sophomore Lauryn Miller scored a career-high 11 points on 4-for-8 shooting, while redshirt freshman Lindsey Corsaro posted a team-high 12 points. Senior Japreece Dean added 10 points and four assists, and the Bruins got eight points and six boards apiece from senior Kennedy Burke and sophomore Michaela Onyenwere.

The Bulldogs dominated from the get-go, outscoring the Eagles, 24-6, in the opening frame. Six players scored in double figures, led by Kaila Hubbard's 15 points off the bench. Taja Cole added 14 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. It was also all Georgia in the fourth quarter, as the Bulldogs outscored Winthrop, 27-5, in the final stanza. Georgia went 26-7 last season and 12-4 in SEC play. The Bulldogs fell in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament against Duke by a final count of 66-40.

UCLA and Georgia haven't met since Nov. 25, 2005, when the Bruins came away with an 84-64 upset win over the 11th-ranked Bulldogs at the Ayres Hotel Thanksgiving Tournament on the campus of Loyola Marymount. UCLA outscored Georgia 11-2 to end the first half and 12-2 to start the second half on the way to a 20-point victory. Lisa Willis led the way for the Bruins with 29 points and seven rebounds, while Nikki Blue added 13 points, seven boards and five assists. Both of UCLA's wins in the series have come at neutral sites, and the Bruins have never defeated (0-2) the Bulldogs at Pauley Pavilion.
