Jordan Earns Sixth Pac-12 FOW Accolade of 2018

SAN FRANCISCO - Redshirt freshman Aaliyah Jordan was named Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Week on Monday, extending her own record of league FOW awards with her sixth of the season.
Jordan had hits in all four victories last week for the top-ranked Bruins, going 5-for-10 (.500) with two runs batted in, four runs scored, two walks and a stolen base. She opened the weekend with a 2-for-4, two-run performance against #21 Oklahoma State on Friday (April 27), adding an RBI single and a run scored in two at-bats later that night versus South Dakota.
In the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday (April 28), Jordan had an RBI single and a walk against South Dakota, adding a single, a walk, a run and a stolen base in the weekend finale versus Oklahoma State.
Jordan leads the Bruins in numerous offensive categories, including batting average (.475) and runs batted in (58), as she is also tied for the home run lead with nine. A finalist for the USA Softball National Player of the Year and the NFCA National Freshman of the Year, Jordan's other Pac-12 FOW plaudits came on Feb. 20, Feb. 27, March 13, April 2 and April 23. She was also named Pac-12 Player of the Week on April 23.
