SAN FRANCISCO -
The top-ranked Bruins are third after two days at the NCAA San Francisco Regional, shooting a 7-over 295 on Tuesday at TPC Harding Park. UCLA is at 1-under 575 through 36 holes, one of just three teams under par, and is one stroke back of Kent State and Stanford (-2, 574). The Bruins enter Wednesday's final round six shots ahead of seventh place. The top six teams after 54 holes advance to the NCAA Championships later this month.

Sophomore Mariel Galdiano and freshman Patty Tavatanakit are each tied for fourth at 3-under 141, two strokes back of the individual lead held by Pepperdine's Hira Naveed (-5, 139). Tavatanakit shot a 1-over 73 in round two, making three birdies on No. 3, 4 and 9 to go with four bogeys. Galdiano had a 3-over 75, making a birdie on the fifth and four bogeys.

Junior Lilia Vu shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday and is tied for 12th (-1, 213). She made back-to-back birdies on No. 6 and 7 and a pair of bogeys. Junior Beth Wu is tied for 63rd (+7, 151) after a 3-over 75, opening her round with 14 pars before going bogey-birdie-bogey-double in her last four holes. Sophomore Clare Legaspi is tied for 76th (+9, 153). She shot a 6-over 78 on two birdies (No. 9 and 12) and eight bogeys.

The Bruins begin their final round on Wednesday at 9:50 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Legaspi, Wu, Vu, Galdiano and Tavatanakit. Live scoring will be available here.
