OKLAHOMA CITY - The third-seeded Bruins dropped a pair of decisions, 3-1 and 12-6, to No. 6 Florida State on Sunday at the Women's College World Series to see their season come to an end at Hall of Fame Stadium. UCLA concluded its season at 58-7.

In game one, redshirt sophomore Rachel Garcia struck out seven in six innings, giving up three runs, eight hits and one walk. The Bruins had seven hits, with redshirt freshman Aaliyah Jordan recording a pair.

The Bruins got on the board in the top of the third, as senior Kylee Perez bunted for a single and freshman Briana Perez reached on a sacrifice, as both moved into scoring position on an error. One out later, Garcia singled to left to bring in Kylee to make it 1-0.

The score remained the same until the bottom of the sixth when the Seminoles hit a two-out, three-run homer to eventually force the if necessary game.

In game two, the Bruins had 11 hits from six different players, as junior Taylor Pack went 3-for-3 with four RBI, sophomore Bubba Nickles went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and Jordan posted two more hits. In the circle, Garcia started and relieved, striking out five in three innings and giving up two runs (one earned) and three hits. Senior Selina Ta'amilo pitched a third of an inning, allowing two runs and two hits, while freshman Holly Azevedo tossed 3 2/3 frames of relief, striking out three and allowing eight runs (four earned), five hits and two walks.

Florida State jumped on the Bruins for four runs in the top of the second before the Bruins rallied with two in their half of the second, asย Nickles led off with a double to right-center and came home two outs later on a Pack homer, her fourth of the season, to make it 4-2.

Following a three-run top of the fourth for Florida State, the Bruins rallied again with two runs in the bottom of the inning, as Nickles had a one-out single, junior Brianna Tautalafua doubled to right-center and both came home on a two-out, two-run single by Pack to cut the deficit to 7-4.

The Seminoles broke it open again with a five-run fifth inning. The Bruins made the game go the distance thanks to solo homers by Briana Perez in the fifth and Nickles in the sixth, but eventually fell by six to see their season come to an end.
