UCLA Sweeps Pac-12 Gymnastics Weekly Awards

UCLA gymnasts swept the Pac-12 Gymnastics weekly awards for the second time this season, with junior Kyla Ross winning Gymnast of the Week, junior Felicia Hano capturing Specialist of the Week, and Margzetta Frazier earning Freshman of the Week honors.
Ross wins her third consecutive Gymnast of the Week award after posting a career-high all-around score of 39.850 in the Bruins' 198.025-194.975 win over Arizona. Her all-around score was a national-best this season and the fourth-highest all-around total in school history. Ross also scored her second consecutive perfect 10 of the season on vault, her fourth perfect 10 of the year and ninth career perfect 10. In addition to winning the all-around and vault, Ross also won uneven bars with a 9.975 and balance beam with a 9.925 and placed second on floor exercise with a 9.950. She received a perfect 10 from at least one judge on vault, bars and floor.
Hano collects her second career Specialist of the Week award after scoring a season-high 9.95 on floor exercise, a career-high 9.875 on uneven bars and a second-place mark of 9.9 on vault. Hano's scores helped the Bruins record season-high team scores of 49.425 on vault and 49.750 on floor exercise. The Bruins also posted 49.625 on uneven bars.
Frazier earns her third Freshman of the Week honor this season. She earned a career-high 9.950 on uneven bars and led UCLA off on floor exercise with a 9.925 to help the Bruins post their season-best on the event and the fourth-highest floor score in school history. On the year, Frazier has hit all 14 of her routines, with six going for 9.925 or higher.
This is just the third sweep in Pac-12 gymnastics history. Ross and Frazier were part of the last one, along with Katelyn Ohashi on Jan. 16, 2019, and the first occurred on Feb. 9, 2016 when Sadiqua Bynum (Gymnast), Angi Cipra (Specialist) and Madison Preston (Freshman) won for UCLA.
No. 2 UCLA will compete at No. 4 Utah on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1:30pm MT/12:30pm PT.
