February 24, 2019 | Women's Basketball
UCLA (17-11, 10-6) had a chance to tie it in the final seconds, but the open look on the right wing came up short. Despite the setback, UCLA remains in fourth place in the Pac-12 standings.
Sophomore Michaela Onyenwere led four Bruins in double figures with 19 points, 17 of which came in the first half. She also had 11 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season.
Redshirt senior Lajahna Drummer collected her 10th career double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and seniors Kennedy Burke and Japreece Dean added 14 and 13 points, respectively.
In 14 minutes off the bench, freshman Kiara Jefferson scored eight points.
The Storyline
UCLA scored 10 of its first 12 points in the paint, helping the Bruins charge to an early 12-9 lead after a banker by Drummer at the 5:08 mark.
