
UCLA Rowing Set for Clemson Invitational

The UCLA women's rowing program will be facing several nationally-ranked programs on Friday and Saturday at the Clemson Invitational on Lake Hartwell.

The Bruins will be competing in eight races on Friday, split into four morning session races and four afternoon session events. UCLA will race two varsity eight crews and two varsity four crews on Friday in Clemson, S.C.

In the morning races, the Bruins will take on crews from No. 12-ranked Wisconsin, No. 19-ranked Syracuse, Cornell, Pennsylvania, Navy and Tulsa. The Bruins' second varsity four crew will race against No. 19-ranked Syracuse, No. 20-ranked Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson and Pennsylvania.

UCLA's afternoon races on Friday will line the Bruins' crews against No. 10-ranked Virginia, No. 20-ranked Alabama, Boston University, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Tulsa. In the afternoon races, UCLA's second varsity four will take on No. 17-ranked Duke, Clemson, Central Florida, Tennessee and Tulsa.

UCLA will compete in the first of three heats in each of these respective races on Friday morning. Projected race times for UCLA are as follows: 8:56 a.m. (ET) for the second varsity four, 9:22 a.m. (ET) for the first varsity four, 9:48 a.m. (ET) for the second varsity eight and 10:14 a.m. (ET) for the first varsity eight.

Races in the afternoon on Friday will begin no sooner than 5:00 p.m. (ET). UCLA's times in the second session on Friday are slated as follows: 5:42 p.m. (ET) for the second varsity four, 6 p.m. (ET) for the first varsity four, 6:26 p.m. (ET) for the second varsity eight and 6:52 p.m. (ET) for the first varsity eight.
