
Bruins Finish Eighth at NCAA Pullman Regional

PULLMAN, Wash. - Sophomore Devon Bling posted the round of the day for the Bruins with a 4-under 66 to finish inside the Top 20 at the NCAA Pullman Regional, but UCLA saw its season come to an end with an eighth-place finish at the Palouse Ridge Golf Course.
The Bruins shot a 2-under 278 on Wednesday to finish at 11-under 829, 10 shots back of the fifth-place position and advancement to the NCAA Championship.
Bling made six birdies to finish in a tie for 17th at 6-under 204. He put up red numbers on No. 13, 15, 16, 18, 2 and 5 with just two bogeys.
Junior Hidetoshi Yoshihara and sophomore Eddy Lai both tied for 37th at 1-under 209, as each posted 1-over 71s in their final rounds. Yoshihara made three birdies on No. 10, 15 and 2 to go with four bogeys. Lai notched two birdies (No. 15 and 2) and three bogeys. Senior Cole Madey tied for 44th (+1, 211), shooting a 2-over 72 on two birdies (No. 11 and 4) and four bogeys. Senior Patrick Murphy tied for 47th (+2, 212), notching three birdies (No. 14, 15 and 1), one bogey and a double in an even-par 70.
