Distance Runners to Compete at Oxy Invitational on Saturday

LOS ANGELES – Ten distance runners on the UCLA track & field team will race in this weekend's Oxy Invitational in search of NCAA qualifying marks. The meet will be hosted by Occidental College on Saturday, May 11.

The women's team will send Paige Carter, who will race in both the 800m and 5000m. Marisa Villegas will eye a top finish in the 1500m, while Annabelle Werner and Grace McAuley will also compete in the 5000m.

For the men, the runners who will compete in the 1500m are Chris Morzenti, Tyler Janes and Andy Ehrenberg. Millen Trujillo and DJ Lawson will race the 5000m, while Munir Kabbara will square off in the 3000m steeple.

Meet Schedule
The women's 1500m is set for 1:35 p.m. (PT), followed by the 800m (3:50 p.m.) and 5000m (7:45 p.m.).

The men's 1500m race will begin at 2:10 p.m., while the 3000m steeple and 5000m are slated for 7 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., respectively.
