OMAHA, Neb. – The UCLA men's soccer team completed an undefeated preseason schedule after defeating Omaha 1-0 on Saturday night at Caniglia Field.
Junior midfielder Eric Iloski provided the lone tally of the game, finding the back of the net in the 35th minute.
Approaching the box from the right side, Iloski made a move to create some separation from his defender, then took about four touches before sneaking a shot inside the left post from about 15 yards out.
With the win, UCLA wrapped the preseason with an aggregate 4-0 scoreline over two games. The Bruins had previously opened the campaign with a 3-0 victory over Montecito-based Westmont, featuring goals from Marcony Pimentel, Milan Iloski, and Jefferson Alade.
Shots were tied 7-7 in Saturday's match, though the Bruins had the edge 5-3 in shots on frame.
Milan Iloski had a team-high four shots, including three on goal. He had a penalty shot denied just two minutes before his brother's game-winning tally.
UCLA opens the regular season next weekend with the Adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington, Ind, facing Northwestern at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30 and going up against host Indiana at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
