Wilson Opens 2020 Season with Shot Put Victory

Flagstaff, Ariz. โ Junior Alyssa Wilson kicked off her 2020 indoor campaign as UCLA's lone representative at the NAU Friday Night Duals, coming away with the victory in the shot put.

Wilson threw 16.85m (55-03.50) on her fifth attempt for the event victory in the shot. The win was good for her fifth-career indoor shot put victory and second-straight at the NAU Friday Night Duals. She posted an indoor-best 17.73m (58-02.00) at this meet to open the 2019 season.

Wilson also took third place in the weight throw with a mark of 18.97m (62-03.00), her fifth-career top-3 finish in the event.
