Bruins Add Delanie Wisz to Roster

LOS ANGELESย - Head coach Kelly Inouye-Perez has announced the addition of Delanie Wisz to the UCLA softball roster. Wisz, who played at Loyola Marymount for two years (2018-2019), will have two seasons of eligibility left with UCLA.
Wisz was named to the All-West Coast Conference Second Team in 2019, leading LMU with nine home runs and six sacrifice flies, and tying for first with 34 runs batted in. She was second with 32 runs scored, hitting .262 with nine doubles. Wisz also drew a team-high 22 walks to just 14 strikeouts. She tied for first among WCC players in RBI, was third in homers and tied for fourth in runs.ย Wisz was named to the WCC All-Academic Team last season.
As a freshman, Wisz was named All-WCC Honorable Mention after leading the Lions with 13 home runs, a .637 slugging percentage and 38 runs scored, adding a .333 batting average, 12 doubles and 34 runs batted in. The two-time WCC Player of the Week was named to the NISC All-Region and All-Tournament teams.
Wisz is the younger sister of Stevie, who just wrapped up her collegiate career with the 2019 National Champion Bruins.
"We are excited to bring Delanie into our Bruin family," Inouye-Perez said. "She is a solid and experienced hitter and utility player that will add to our talented roster."
