- Trevor Bauer, RHP, Cincinnati Reds โ Bauer was named the NL Outstanding Pitcher when the MLBPA announced the 2020 Players Choice Award winners on Oct. 22. For the 2020 season, Bauer led the National League with a 1.73 ERA, 0.79 WHIP, and 5.06 hits per nine innings. He is considered one of the favorites for the 2020 NL Cy Young Award.ย
 - Griffin Canning, RHP, Los Angeles Angels โ Canning, in his first full season as a big leaguer, was named one of three finalists for the American League Gold Glove at pitcher. Among AL pitchers in 2020, Canning tied with Boston's Nathan Eovaldi for the lead in defensive runs saved above average with three.
 - Dave Roberts, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, has led his club to the 2020 World Series after overcoming a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the Atlanta Braves in the National League Championship Series. Los Angeles currently leads the World Series over the Tampa Bay Rays, 3-2. The Dodgers, who posted an MLB-best 43-17 record during the regular season, had previously downed the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Diego Padres in the MLB Playoffs. Game Six of the World Series starts at 5:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday evening (TV: FOX).
 
- Japreece Dean,ย G, Dynamo Novosibirsk (Russia) -- Japreece Dean ('20) is playing in her first professional season overseas following her senior season with the Bruins.
 - Kennedy Burke, G, Dinamo Sassari (Italy) -- After a strong second-year campaign with the Indiana Fever in the "Wubble", Kennedy Burke ('19) has recently kicked off her second stint overseas. She currently plays for Dinamo Sassari in Italy.ย
 - Monique Billings, F, Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia) -- Monique Billings ('18) had a breakout season in her third year with the Atlanta Dream this past season in the WNBA and now plays for Nadezhda Orenburg in Russia.ย
 - Nirra Fields, G (Turkey) -- Nirra Fields ('16) continues her professional career playing overseas in Turkey.ย
 - Atonya Nyingifa, F, Estudiantes (Madrid) -- Atonye Nyingifa ('14) continues her longstanding professional basketball career with Estudiantes in Spain. Nyingifa wrapped up her UCLA career in 2014 and scored 1,570 points as a Bruin.ย
 - Rebekah Gardner, G, Sfantu Ghorghe (Romania) -- Rebekah Gardner ('12) continues her prolific professional career overseas with a stint with Sfantu Ghorghe in Romania. Gardner is a member of UCLA's 1,000-point club with 1,101-career points as a Bruin.
 
- Krys Barnes, ILB, Green Bay Packers โ Barnes left in the third quarter of Green Bay's fifth win in six games, but still managed to pile up a team-high eight tackles, the first sack of his young career and a QB hit in a starting role.
 - Jayon Brown, ILB, Tennessee Titans โ Starter Brown was a thorn in the side of Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh pass offense, registering an interception and three additional passes defensed. He also tied for the team lead with eight total tackles.
 - Kenny Clark, NT, Green Bay Packers โ Clark registered one tackle in a starting role to bring his season total to six in three games.
 - Ka'imi Fairbairn, K, Houston Texans โ Fairbairn missed his first field-goal attempt since Week 1, but did convert tries from 38 and 29 yards. He also knocked down each of his two extra-point attempts and saw two of his first four kickoffs reach the end zone. Fairbairn's final kickoff, an onside try, was recovered by Houston.
 - Joshua Kelley, RB, Los Angeles Chargers โ The rookie posted a team-high 12 carries for 29 yards and was also active in the passing game, racking up five catches for 24 yards. He picked up a 10-yard gain on a fourth-quarter reception that helped the Chargers ice their second win.
 - Marcedes Lewis, TE, Green Bay Packers โ The third Bruin in Green Bay's starting lineup caught one pass for nine yards.
 - Takkarist McKinley, DE, Atlanta Falcons โ McKinley, who missed the previous four games due to injury, made one tackle in his return to the starting lineup.
 - Jacob Tuioti-Mariner, DT, Atlanta Falcons โ Tuioti-Mariner logged two tackles on special teams to run his 2020 total to 10 stops. His single-season career high is 13, set last year.-return team. The Falcons earned their first win of the season.
 - Kenny Young, ILB, Los Angeles Rams โ Young collected three total tackles as the Rams never trailed against Chicago Monday night. He is on pace to set a new single-season career high with 24 stops through seven games.
 - OT Andre James (Las Vegas Raiders), OT Conor McDermott (New York Jets), OT Kolton Miller (Las Vegas Raiders), CB Fabian Moreau (Washington Football Team), C Scott Quessenberry (Los Angeles Chargers), OG Alex Redmond (Cincinnati Bengals) and WR Matthew Slater (New England Patriots) also played, but did not record any statistics.
 
- PGA TOURย โ For the third time in his career, Patrick Cantlay came from behind to win on the PGA TOUR, rallying from four shots back to claim a one-stroke victory at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP @ SHERWOOD (Thursday-Sunday). Playing just 35 miles away from Westwood at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Cantlay shot a 7-under 65 in his final round, going out in 32 thanks to five birdies and a bogey. A stretch of four birdies in five holes on the back nine gave Cantlay the lead for good.
 - PGA Tour Champions โ After a week off, the Tour is back in action in Boca Raton, Fla. at the TimberTech Championship (Friday-Sunday). Brandt Jobe, Scott McCarron, Corey Pavin, Tom Pernice, Jr., Ken Tanigawa and Duffy Waldorf are in the field.
 - European Tour โ Pedro Figueiredo is in the field at the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Open (Thursday-Sunday) in Paphos, Cyprus.
 
- LPGA Tour โ Patty Tavatanakit (T-57, +1) was the top Bruin at last week's LPGA Drive On Championship (Thursday-Sunday) in Greensboro, Ga. The Tour is off until Nov. 19.
 - Symetra Tour โ After a week off, the Tour is back in action at the Carolina Golf Classic in Pinehurst, N.C. (Thursday-Sunday). Lee Lopez is the lone Bruin in the field.
 
- Frankie Amaya, MF, FC Cincinnati โ Started and played 89 minutes in FC Cincinnati's tilt against Minnesota United FC on Oct. 24.ย He's made 18 appearances โ all starts โ and scored his first professional goal this year.
 - Jonathan Bornstein, D, Chicago Fire โ Started and played the full 90 in Chicago's 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls on Oct. 24.
 - Reggie Cannon, D, Boavista FC (Portugal) โย Started at right back and played the full 90 in Boavista's Primeira Liga contest against Famalicao on Sunday. Cannon has started all five games for Boavista since transferring from FC Dallas last month. He scored his first goal with Boavista in his club debut on Sept. 12 (exhibition vs. CD Tondela).ย
 - Abu Danladi, F, Nashville SC โ Started both of Nashville SC's games last week, with the club going 1-0-1. Danladi had three shots in a 3-0 triumph over FC Dallas on Oct. 20.
 - Jordan Harvey, D, LAFC โ Started and played 61 minutes in LAFC's El Trafico matchup with the Galaxy on Saturday. Helped his club record a shutout, as LAFC triumphed 2-0.
 - Ryan Hollingshead, D, FC Dallas โ Started and played the full 90 in both of FC Dallas's games last week. ย
 - Jackson Yueill, MF, San Jose Earthquakes โ Started and played the full 90 in San Jose's Oct. 24 game against Vancouver.
 
- Linnea Mack & Ting Wen Quah, DC Tridentย โ The Bruin duo are in the midst of match four of the 2020ย International Swim League (ISL) season, taking on the Cali Condors, NY Breakers, and Iron in a quad meet in Budapest. The Trident are coached by Cyndi Gallagher, UCLA's longtime head swim coach who retired following the 2018-19 season.
 
- Maxime Cressy โ Cressy dropped a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Maximilian Marterer of Germany in first-round singles action at the Hamburg European Open (Germany).
 - Marcos Gironย โ Giron had a remarkable run at the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium, advancing through singles qualifying en route to the quarterfinals. His marquee win of the tournament came against top-seeded David Goffin of Belgium, 6-3, 7-5. The victory over Goffin, who was ranked 14th in the world at the time of the match, represents the best of Giron's career. His journey was ended by finalist Alex de Minaur of Australia. Giron was elevated to a career-high No. 86 in the latest ATP rankings, announced Monday.
 - Mackenzie McDonaldย โ McDonald, who needed to win a pair of qualifying matches to reach the singles main draw at the American Express Istanbul Challenger (Turkey), went on to reach the quarterfinal round with wins over Teymuraz Gabashvili of Russia, 6-4, 6-1, and Nino Serdarusic of Croatia, 7-6(9), 6-3, before falling to Martin Klizan of Slovakia in three sets.
 - Jean-Julien Rojer - Rojer and Fabrice Martin, seeded third, fell to Pablo Andujar and Sander Arends, 6-7(6), 6-2, 1-0(5), in their doubles opener at the European Open in Antwerp, Belgium.
 
- Robin Andersonย โ Anderson and partner Jessika Panchot advanced to the doubles semifinal round at Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (France), defeating Alice Hall and Marie Menacer, 6-3, 6-3, before being edged by Selena Janicijevic and Robin Montgomery, 7-5, 6-7(1), 1-0(4).
 - Jennifer Brady โ Brady continued to shine in 2020, reaching the singles semifinal round at the Ostrava Open (Czech Republic). She defeated Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine, 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, Daria Kasatkina of Russia, 7-5, 6-2, and Veronika Kudermetova of Russia, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-1, before falling to third-seeded Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the final four. Brady moved up to a career-best No. 24 in the WTA rankings Monday.
 - Catherine Harrisonย โ Harrison narrowly lost to Kyoka Okamura of Japan, 7-6(6), 5-7, 1-0(6), in singles qualifying at the Bellatorum Resources Pro Classic in Tyler, Texas.
