UCLA Defeats Arizona State, 197.200-195.475

Tempe, Ariz. – No. 4 UCLA recorded its fourth 197+ score of the season, defeating Arizona State, 197.200-195.475. The Bruins scored 49.2 or higher on all four events, including a meet-high 49.525 on floor exercise.
UCLA (8-2) swept the individual events, and Felicia Hano captured her first all-around title with a 39.100. Nia Dennis won vault with a 9.900, Kyla Ross won uneven bars and balance beam with 9.950s, and Gracie Kramer won floor exercise for the third-straight meet with a 9.950.
The Bruins rested Ross in the all-around for the first time this season, as the senior competed on just two events, both of which she won with a 9.950. Also resting was Margzetta Frazier, who had been limited to one event the last three meets with an ankle injury. UCLA's freshmen stepped up in their place, with Arizona native Chloe Lashbrooke recording a career-high 9.9 on floor exercise and scoring 9.725 on vault, Kalyany Steele tying her career-high with a 9.85 on uneven bars, and Emma Andres matching her career-high on floor with a 9.875.
UCLA started the meet with a pair of 49.2s on uneven bars and vault. Ross's 9.95 led the team on uneven bars, and Steele (9.85), Hano (9.825) and Savannah Kooyman (9.8) contributed scores of 9.8 or higher. On vault, the Bruins had five scores of 9.8 or higher, with Dennis leading the way with her 9.9. Hano added a 9.85, and Pauline Tratz set a season-high with a 9.85.

The Bruins recorded their third consecutive floor score of 49.5 with a 49.525. Norah Flatley led off with a 9.875, Lashbrooke followed with her 9.9, and Andres added a 9.875. Hano and Dennis hit back-to-back 9.9s, and Kramer finished with a meet-winning 9.95.
