
UCLA Tops Keio University in Exhibition Contest

LOS ANGELES โ The UCLA baseball team defeated Keio University (Japan) in an international exhibition by a score of 15-1 on Tuesday night at Jackie Robinson Stadium.
The Bruins plated nine runs in the first inning en route to the victory.
Big offensive contributions came from outfielder Jarron Silva (3-4, five RBIs), third baseman Jake Moberg (2-3, reached four times), and shortstop Mikey Perez (three RBIs).
UCLA pitchers allowed just four hits in the contest.
Tomoya Masaki, Shohei Wakabayashi, Kanta Ueda, and Noriyuki Hashimoto all collected hits for Keio, with Wakabayashi's double serving as the team's lone extra-base hit.
Ryo Kobayashi and Junki Nmai teamed up to allowย just three earned over the final six innings of the game for Keio.
UCLA returns to action on Wednesday night, hosting Pepperdine in the last of a nine-game homestand at Jackie Robinson Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
