MEN'S BASKETBALL
- Kyle Anderson, F, Memphis Grizzlies โ Scored 18 points in each of the Grizzlies' past two games. In a victory on New Year's Day against Charlotte, he scored 18 points and added 11 rebounds and five assists. Through six games this season, he has averaged 16.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
- Lonzo Ball, G, New Orleans Pelicans โ Scored in double figures in each of the Pelicans' three games last week, including 18 points (and six rebounds and six assists) in a two-point overtime loss against Indiana on Monday. He has averaged 12.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in six games this season.
- Moses Brown, C, Oklahoma City Thunder โ Made his season debut against the Pelicans on Dec. 31. Saw action in two games last week, and scored five points and grabbed three rebounds in a game against Miami on Monday.
- Aaron Holiday, G, Indiana Pacers โ Totaled 12 points in a win over the Cavs on New Year's Eve. Has averaged 6.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in six regular-season contests for the Pacers this season.
- Jrue Holiday, G, Milwaukee Bucks โ Scored in double figures in four games for the Bucks last week. Had 24 points in a 47-point win over Miami last Tuesday. Also had 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists in a win against Detroit on Monday. Has averaged 15.5 points, 5.0 assists and 3.7 rebounds in six games for the Bucks this season.
- Zach LaVine, G, Chicago Bulls โ Scored in double figures in four games for the Bulls over the past week. He finished with a team-leading 39 points on Sunday as Chicago defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 118-108. He has averaged 24.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in the seven games with the Bulls this season.
- Kevon Looney, F, Golden State Warriors โ Scored 11 points in the Warriors' win against Sacramento on Monday evening. He has averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds per game this season, playing in six games for Golden State.
- Norman Powell, G, Toronto Raptors โ Scored in double figures in a pair of games with the Raptors last week. He finished with 17 points and four rebounds in a 17-point victory against the Knicks on New Year's Eve. In addition, he registered 12 points on Jan. 2 against New Orleans. He has averaged 9.4 points and 1.6 rebounds in five games this season.
- Russell Westbrook, G, Washington Wizards โ Scored at least 20 points in three games over the past week. He totaled 24 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in the Wizards' one-point victory against Brooklyn on Sunday. He has averaged 20.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 11.8 assists in five games with Washington this season.
- Eli Ankou, DT, Dallas Cowboys โ Ankou made one tackle. The four-year professional made five total tackles in seven games after a midseason trade took him from Houston to Dallas.
- Devin Asiasi, TE, New England Patriots โ Asiasi recorded the first two catches of his pro career, including a 26-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also made a 13-yard grab earlier in the game.
- Krys Barnes, ILB, Green Bay Packers โ ILB, Green Bay Packers โ The undrafted rookie, who started 10 of his 13 games played for the NFC's No. 1 seed, piled up a career- and game-high 14 tackles. One of his stops went for a loss. Barnes finished the regular season with 80 total tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

- Kenny Clark, NT, Green Bay Packers โ Clark matched his career high with five total tackles as Green Bay improved to 13-3. He registered 41 total tackles and two sacks across 13 games played after missing part of the early season due to injury.

- Matt Dickerson, DE, Tennessee Titans โ Dickerson did not record any statistics as Tennessee secured the AFC South championship with a win. He played in 10 games, recording 10 total tackles โ both career highs.

- Ka'imi Fairbairn, K, Houston Texans โ Fairbairn made each of his four field-goal tries, converting from 24, 43, 28 and 51 yards. He finished the season 27 of 31, including four of six from 50-plus yards. Fairbairn also made two of three extra-point tries Sunday and had eight of nine kickoffs result in touchbacks.
- Myles Jack, LB, Jacksonville Jaguars โ Jack posted five total tackles and one pass defense to complete his standout season. He tallied a career-high 118 total tackles, one sack, five passes defensed and one interception in his fifth season.
- Marcedes Lewis, TE, Green Bay Packers โ Lewis caught one pass for nine yards, increasing his season totals to 10 grabs for 107 yards and three touchdowns. Over the last four seasons, the 15-year veteran has played in 63 of a possible 64 games.

- Conor McDermott, OT, New York Jets โ McDermott made one tackle on an interception return. He played in 15 games this season, equaling the total from his first three campaigns.
- Fabian Moreau, CB, Washington Football Team โ Moreau turned in one tackle and one pass defense as Washington locked up the final playoff spot Sunday night. He made nine total tackles and brought in his fifth- and sixth-career interceptions over 16 games during the regular season.

- Matthew Slater, WR, New England Patriots โ The Pro Bowler made a pair of tackles on kickoffs to bring his season total to seven.
- Jacob Tuioti-Mariner, DT, Atlanta Falcons โ Tuioti-Mariner completed a breakout season, picking up his career-high 31st total tackle. Over 16 games, he also tallied one sack, one forced fumble, two fumbles recovered and two passes defensed.
- Kenny Young, ILB, Los Angeles Rams โ Young made one tackle to bring his season total to 52 and eclipse his previous career high, set in 2018. He also notched one sack, one fumble recovered and one interception he returned for a touchdown on the campaign. The Rams were victorious Sunday, locking up a playoff spot.

- CBย Darnay Holmes (New York Giants), OT Andre James (Las Vegas Raiders), RB Joshua Kelley (Los Angeles Chargers), OT Kolton Miller (Las Vegas Raiders), C Scott Quessenberry (Los Angeles Chargers), OG Xavier Su'a-Filo (Cincinnati Bengals) and TE Caleb Wilson (Philadelphia Eagles) also played, but did not record any stats.
- Reggie Cannon, D, Boavista FC (Portugal) โย Started at right back and played the full 90 as Boavista recorded a clean sheet in a scoreless draw against Maritimo in Primeira Liga action. Cannon has started every game for Boavista since transferring from FC Dallas in September.
- Teagan Micah, GK, Melbourne City FC (Australia) โ Micah was selected to the W-League's Team of the Week for Week 1 after her heroics against Brisbane in the season opener. Micah was also awarded the W-League save of the week for one of her seven saves in the game. For Week 2, she again earned the start against Canberra United on Jan. 2, but a goal in stoppage time put Melbourne City in the loss column for the first time this season. Micah had one save on 11 shots.
- Rachel Lowe, MF, Sydney FC (Australia) โ Lowe made her debut for Sydney FC on Dec. 29, playing 31 minutes in a 3-0 W-League win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
- Three former UCLA standouts will ring in the new year at the ATP season-opening Delray Beach Open in Florida. Mackenzie McDonald will be busy, as the former NCAA singles and doubles champion is in both main draws. He will take on sixth-seeded Sam Querrey in singles play and team with Tommy Paul to face Cristian Garin/Andre Goransson in doubles. Jean-Julien Rojer and partner Marcelo Arevalo, seeded first, will square off against Ariel Behar/Gonzalo Escobar, while the wild-card pair of Bruin Dennis Novikov and Bjorn Fratangelo will meet Querrey and Austin Krajicek. Each of the matches is scheduled for Thursday.
- Jennifer Brady, Catherine Harrison, and Ena Shibahara will open the WTA season this week at the Abu Dhabi Open in the United Arab Emirates. Harrison is set to take on former Texas standout Bianca Turati of Italy and Shibahara meets an alternate Tuesday in qualifying. No. 11 seed Brady, who is coming off a breakthrough 2020, has a first-round match against Tamara Zidansek of Norway scheduled for Wednesday.
