
Three Bruins Set to Compete at ITA All-Americans

TULSA, Okla. -- Three members of the UCLA men's tennis team are slated to begin their 2021-22 seasons over the course of nine days at the ITA All-American Championships. The Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa and Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park will serve as host sites.
Freshman Alexander Hoogmartens, sophomore Stefan Leustian and senior Patrick Zahraj make up the trio of Bruins ready to compete for spots in the singles and doubles main draws. Live updates, including video, are expected to be available at TulsaHurricane.com and WeAreCollegeTennis.com
Leustian and Zahraj, who are in the pre-qualifying singles bracket, get started Saturday and Sunday. While Zahraj has an opening-round bye, Leustian matches up with Roman Postolka of UAB in the round of 256. Zahraj is in line to face Chen Dong of Georgia Tech of Tom Thelwall-Jones of Tulsa. Awaiting them is Hoogmartens, who debuts in qualifying action Monday, Oct. 4 and Tuesday, Oct. 5. The doubles combination of Hoogmartens and Zahraj, looking for a spot in qualifying, is an alternate.
