CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The Bruins return to the course this week at the San Diego Country Club, taking part in the Lamkin San Diego Classic. The 54-hole tournament will be played Monday through Wednesday at the par-72, 7,033-yard layout.

The starting fivesome for the Bruins will be seniors Devon Bling and Eddy Lai, junior Bryan Wiyang Teoh, sophomore Mason Greene and freshman Dylan Vizanko. UCLA will begin its opening round on Monday at 7:30 a.m. off the first tee in the order of Greene, Vizanko, Lai, Teoh and Bling. Live scoring will be available here.

The Bruins are playing in their third tournament after spending a full week in the Palm Springs area, finishing 24th at The Prestige (Feb. 15-17, +44, 896) and tied for eighth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate (Feb. 19-21, +8, 872). UCLA had a pair of under-par rounds at the Desert Intercollegiate, recording a 3-under 285 in round one and a 2-under 286 in the final round.

Bling finished solo third at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, shooting a 54-hole total of 7-under 209. He shot a 3-under 69 in round one and a 4-under 68 in the final round. He tied for 12th at The Prestige (+1, 214), closing with a 1-under 70.

Teoh rebounded from The Prestige (T-100, +14, 227) to finish in a tie for eighth at the Desert Intercollegiate. He shot a 3-under 213 after opening with a 4-under 68 and closing with a 1-under 71.

Greene also played in both events in Palm Springs, shooting a +18 (231, T-110) at The Prestige and a +5 (221, T-45) at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, ending that event with an even-par 72.

Lai is making his season debut after posting a 71.9 scoring average and three Top 10s in his junior campaign. Of his 10 under-par rounds, eight were in the 60s. Lai posted his first-career win at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational in October 2019, finishing at 7-under 209 with a 3-under 69 and a 4-under 68 in his final two rounds.

San Diego native Vizanko will be making his collegiate debut at a course he is familiar with. He prepped at Cathedral Catholic High School, earning All-CIF honors as a junior and sophomore. He was ranked in the Top 30 among high school seniors in the state of California in 2020.
