May 25, 2021 | Men's Basketball
LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's basketball program will open its 20-game Pac-12 schedule in 2021-22 with games against Colorado (in Los Angeles) and Washington (in Seattle) in December, as announced by the Pac-12 Conference on Tuesday.
The Pac-12 unveiled a new 10-year annual rotation of men's basketball conference opponents, beginning with the 2021-22 season. The league office also revealed the home-away matchups and dates for early conference games as part of the league's 20-game schedule in 2021-22.
UCLA will host Colorado in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The Bruins travel to play at Washington (Alaska Airlines Arena, Seattle) on Sunday, Dec. 5.
The Bruins' 20-game league schedule will include 10 home contests against Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, USC, Washington and Washington State.
UCLA's 10 road contests will take place at Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, USC, Washington and Utah. The Bruins will not travel to play at Washington State and will not host Utah in 2021-22.
The Bruins' complete schedule for the 2021-22 season will be finalized in September.
UCLA compiled a 22-10 overall record in 2020-21, earning the program's first NCAA Final Four since 2008. The Bruins became just the second team since the tournament expanded to 68 teams (in 2011) to advance from the First Four to the Final Four. UCLA won consecutive contests against Michigan State, BYU, Abilene Christian, Alabama and Michigan.
