No. 9 Bruins to Face Washington State on Sunday at Noon

Pullman, Wash. โ€“ UCLA Women's Basketball (16-3, 5-2 Pac-12) is set to take on Washington State (13-5, 3-4 Pac-12) on Sunday, Jan. 21. Tip-off is slated for 12:06 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on Pac-12 Los Angeles with Greg Heister and Stephanie Hawk Freeman on the call. Dave Marcus will provide play-by-play commentary on UCLA Digital Radio.

โ€ข The Bruins' 15-3 start is their best through 19 games since 2019-20 when UCLA held an 18-0 record. UCLA's 5-2 record in Pac-12 play is the second-best start under Cori Close (6-1, 2019-20).
โ€ข Charisma Osborne has scored 303 points (4th - Pac-12) through 18 games, averaging 16.8 PPG (4th - Pac-12). She has the fifth-most field goals made (106 FGM) on the second-most field goal attempts (266 FGA) in the Pac-12. Osborne ranks 6th the Pac-12 in minutes played (583 MIN), 7th in FT% (80.8%) and 8th in FTM (59). Osborne is 13th in defensive rebounds (79 DRPG) in the Conference. She also ranks 16th in total rebounds (105 REB) and 17th in rebounds per game (5.8 RPG) in the Pac-12.
โ€ข UCLA's top-ranked freshman class is seeing significant time on the floor this season, averaging 19.2 minutes of playing time per game between the five newcomers. Four freshmen have played all 19 games so far.
โ€ข Lina Sontag had a big game off the bench against No. 11/12 Tennessee, scoring 12 points (5-for-12 FG, 2-for-4 3FG) and pulling down 7 rebounds. Sontag has earned a starting spot in four games this season (Jackson State - Nov. 25, USC - Jan. 8, Cal - Jan. 15, Washington - Jan. 20). The German had 9 points and a team-high 8 rebounds against the Tigers on Nov. 25. The forward was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the Bruins' 1-point win over the Trojans, and she put up an 11-point, 8-rebound performance in the win over Washington.

UCLA fought from behind to make a comeback victory, its third in four games. Charisma Osborne hit a half court buzzer beater that ignited a 19-0 Bruin run, during which Lina Sontag scored seven of her 11 points. Kiki Rice added 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in the win; Osborne tied Rice with a team-high 12 points on Friday.
