LOS ANGELES – Senior forward Reilyn Turner of UCLA Women's Soccer has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for the week of Oct. 16-22.
Turner scored the game-winning goals in both of UCLA's road wins at the Arizona schools as the Bruins won their 10th and 11th consecutive games and remained perfect in Pac-12 play. Against No. 24 Arizona State on Sunday, Turner headed in a corner kick in the 89th minute to lift UCLA to a 1-0 win. On Thursday at Arizona, she scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute to break a 1-1 tie. UCLA went on to beat the Wildcats, 4-1.
Turner continues to climb up UCLA's record books, as she moved into No. 5 with 16 career game-winning goals. She also increased her career totals to 42 goals and 98 points, ranking fifth and sixth, respectively. Turner's 10 goals and 25 points this season rank second in the Pac-12. She leads the conference in goals and points in Pac-12 play with 7 goals and 16 points.
