Bruins Prepare for Pac-12 Championships in Washington

LOS ANGELES โ UCLA Cross Country is headed to University Place, Wash., for the 2023 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships this Friday, Oct. 27.

The Bruins will run at Chambers Creek Regional Park in Washington for the Conference meet. The men's 8000-meter competition is set to take off at 10:10 a.m. PT, with the women's championship 6000-meter race to follow at 11:10 a.m. PT. Both races will be broadcast to the Pac-12 Networks.

Women's cross country is coming off a second-place team finish at the Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational in a field of 41 teams. UCLA's Mia Kane placed 14th overall out of 387 runners, crossing in 20:04.6 to record a new personal-best mark in the 6000m race. UCLA had two additional student-athletes in the top 35 โ Angelina Shandro (20:22.8) and Chloe Browne (20:25.2).

The men's team is looking to finish the season strong after three regular-season meets across the country โ UCLA competed in Los Angeles, Calif.; Eugene, Ore.; and College Station, Texas throughout the regular season. The Bruins placed second as a team at the LMU South Bay Twilight, with three UCLA student-athletes finishing in the top 10 runners.

This 930-acre site includes over two miles of saltwater shoreline, two and a half miles of urban creek and canyon, and breathtaking mountain and Puget Sound views. Chambers Creek Regional Park is located within the City of University Place, immediately north of the Town of Steilacoom.

Championships Return to Washington
The 2023 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships mark the seventh time the event has been held in the state of Washington and first time since 2020, where Chambers Creek Regional Park was also utilized as the host venue.
