"I think tonight was really special because not just our starting group played well but everyone who came in off the bench did an excellent job," said UCLA head coach Margueritte Aozasa. "We've been saying over and over again that our depth is what's going to carry us through, and tonight you were able to see just the quality that we have from top to bottom."

Junior midfielder Emma Egizii got the scoring started in the 31st minute after being fouled in the box and earning a penalty kick. She took the kick herself and fired a hard shot past Oregon State goalkeeper Hailey Coll for her first goal of the season. The Bruins added a second penalty kick with just 13 seconds left in the half. Defender Ayo Oke made a crafty move to get in front of her defender, who clipped her from behind in the box. Jayden Perry stepped up for the penalty kick and converted her third of the season.

The Bruins (10-1, 4-0 in the Pac-12) wasted no time in the second half, scoring at 47:12 on a picture-perfect counterattack. Reilyn Turner made the play happen, sprinting to win a ball in the Bruins' back third and then taking it up to midfield before passing to Lexi Wright up top. Wright raced ahead of the Beaver defense and fired a shot from the penalty spot past Coll to make it 3-0 Bruins.
Five minutes later, Turner scored a goal of her own. Quincy McMahon sent a shot in that Coll got a glove on, but she was unable to contain the rebound, and Turner took full advantage, getting right to the ball and turning to take the shot into the empty net. The goal was Turner's fourth of the season and 35th of her career, moving her into a tie for fifth on UCLA's career goals list.Perfect counterattack executed by @reilynturner and Lexi Wright! ??
