Contell Named Student-Athlete of the Week, Presented by Ready

LOS ANGELES โ Jose Contell of UCLA Men's Soccer has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for the week of Oct. 30-Nov. 5.
Contell led the Bruins to a 1-0-1 mark as they clinched at least a share of the Pac-12 men's soccer title last week. He tallied two goals and an assist across the two games. The redshirt junior put up five points (two goals, one assist) in UCLA's 3-1 win over No. 19 Stanford. Contell assisted on the Bruins opening goal, before firing home UCLA's second and third goals of the afternoon. For the season, Contell has three goals and six assists to his name in 2023.
