LAST TIME OUT: W, 92-49 vs. PURDUE
โ€ข No. 4 UCLA handled business from wire to wire, never having trailed in the opening game of the 2023-24 season. All five Bruins in the starting lineup achieved double-digit scoring - UCLA had five double-figure scorers twice last season.
โ€ข Sophomores Londynn Jones and Lauren Betts came out hot, setting career highs on opening night. Jones knocked down a career-high six three pointers (6-for-11 3FG) and Betts scored a career-best 20 points (9-for-11 FG). Betts corralled seven boards and swatted two shots in her Bruin debut.
โ€ข Sophomore Kiki Rice recorded her first double-double of the season, second of her career, in Monday night's win (10 points, 10 assists). Graduate student Charisma Osborne stuffed the stat sheet, scoring 11 points (4-for-7 FG, three 3PM), throwing seven assists, grabbing five rebounds and adding a steal to her final line
โ€ข Senior Angela Dugalic had a strong showing in her return to play after missing 2022-23 due to injury. Dugalic scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting and added two assists; UCLA assisted on 29 of 36 made baskets in the win.
ย
THE ROAD TO EUROBASKET 2025
