Women’s Basketball Drops Thursday Night Game to Washington State, 55-62

LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Basketball (21-8, 10-7 Pac-12) fell to Washington State (19-9, 9-8 Pac-12) on Thursday evening, dropping its second-straight game of the week.
 
Charisma Osborne had a team-high 14 points and two assists in the effort; Osborne and Emily Bessoir tied with a team-high eight rebounds on Thursday.
 
The team shot 14-for-16 from the charity stripe. Four Bruins were perfect on their attempts from the free throw line in the game. Freshman Lina Sontag had a game-high three steals as the Bruins it from Washington State eight times in the matchup.
 
Despite 1-for-16 shooting and six points scored in the first quarter, the Bruins were able to turn things around in the second and tie the game at 25 before the half. UCLA was 13-for-14 from the line in the half, accounting for 52% of its points through the first two periods.
 
The Cougars outscored the Bruins 37-30 in the second half and secured their first-ever win inside Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.

The Bruins host the Washington Huskies for their final game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 25. Tip-off is slated for 12 p.m.; UCLA will celebrate Senior Day with a pregame recognition ceremony.
