Osborne’s Big Second Half Lifts Bruins Past Washington, 70-62
February 25, 2023 | Women's Basketball
LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Basketball (22-8, 11-7 Pac-12) won its senior day matchup against Washington (15-13, 7-11 Pac-12) behind an efficient second half from Charisma Osborne. The Bruins won their regular season finale 70-62.

The Bruins led by as much as 10 in the first quarter but carried a 16-13 lead into the break.
The second quarter was back and forth between the teams, but the Bruins were outscored by four in the period. Rice had nine points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting performance in the second to keep UCLA within striking distance.
The Bruins trailed by one at the half, 33-34.
UCLA played stifling defense in the third quarter, holding Washington to 25% from the field during those 10 minutes. The Bruins grabbed five of their steals in the period; Sontag swiped an early one and broke away for a layup in transition.
