
UCLA Rowing Concludes Weekend at San Diego Crew Classic

SAN DIEGO – UCLA's novice eight crew recorded a third-place finish in a five-boat Grand Final race on Sunday morning at the annual San Diego Crew Classic on Mission Bay.
The Bruins' novice crew recorded a racing time of 7:35.910. UCLA crossed the finish line on Sunday behind Washington (7:10.093) and British Columbia (7:23.391).
UCLA finished 16.23 seconds ahead of fourth-place UC San Diego (7:52.141) and far ahead of fifth-place competitor San Diego (8:31.445). The five schools all finished in the same order on Saturday in the novice eight's preliminary heat.
Sunday's novice eight race marked the Bruins' final competition before next weekend's Big Ten Invitational, scheduled to take place in Sarasota, Fla., at Nathan Benderson Park.
