No. 3 Women’s Golf Ties for Eighth at Windy City Classic

WILMETTE, Ill. – The No. 3-ranked UCLA women's golf team tied for eighth (+35, 899) out of 15 programs at the Windy City Collegiate Classic at Westmoreland Country Club on Tuesday.
Freshman Francesca Fiorellini, making her collegiate debut, led the Bruins' lineup with a t-13th (+5; 72-72-77) finish. The Italian recorded four birdies in her first round on Monday and shot a bogey-free back nine in her second round later that day.
Arizona State won the team title by six strokes with a score of +11, 875. The Sun Devils shot the lowest 18-hole score of the tournament in the second round with a -5, 283.
USC freshman Jasmine Koo earned medalist honors with a score of -5 (68-67-76).
Junior Meghan Royal was UCLA's second-best golfer with a T-22nd placement (+9; 72-78-75). Senior Zoe Antoinette Campos tied for 43rd at +13 (75-76-78).
