Men’s Golf Punches Ticket to NCAA Stanford Regional

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's golf team was tabbed as the No. 6 seed for the NCAA Stanford Regional at Stanford Golf Course set to take place May 13-15, it was announced during Wednesday morning's Selection Show.
The Bruins will be competing against 13 programs in the Stanford Regional: No. 6 Florida State, No. 7 Ole Miss, No. 18 Illinois, No. 19 Texas A&M, Stanford (host), SMU, Missouri, Fresno State, UNLV, Augusta University, Liberty, Sacramento State and Siena.

Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted to determine the 30 qualifying teams and six individuals (not on those qualifying teams) who will compete in the NCAA Championships. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals (not on those teams) will compete at each of three Regionals while the other three Regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals (not on those teams).
The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships which will be hosted by Texas and held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
This marks UCLA's first team NCAA Regional appearance since the 2018-19 season when it competed at the Pullman Regional. The last time the Bruins advanced past Regionals and to the NCAA Championships was in the 2017-18 season.
UCLA has won two NCAA Championships with the last title coming in 2008. The Bruins have won five NCAA Regional Championships: 2013, 2011, 2009, 2004 and 2003.
