UCLA AT WASHINGTON ON FRIDAY
The Bruins are back in action at Washington on Friday, Jan. 24 (game time is 8 p.m., PT). UCLA has won 10 of its last 11 meetings against Washington, as the Bruins' program reeled off nine consecutive wins from Jan. 2020 through Jan. 2024. Earlier this season (Dec. 3), UCLA recorded a 69-58 win over Washington in the Big Ten Conference opener for both schools (inside Pauley Pavilion). Tyler Bilodeau and Sebastian Mack each totaled 16 points in the home victory. UCLA has compiled an all-time record of 109-44 against Washington in a series that first began in 1937.

BRUINS EDGE WISCONSIN, 85-83
Skyy Clark made a pair of free throws in the final seven seconds of the game on Tuesday, helping push the Bruins' margin to 84-80. UCLA held on to defeat Wisconsin, 85-83, and secure their second Big Ten victory in five nights. Sophomore Aday Mara scored a career-best 22 points (including 15 points in the second half), and Sebastian Mack added 19 points. Mara made 7 of 7 shots from the field, notching the 20-point milestone in a game for the first time in his collegiate career. UCLA trailed by nine points late in the first half and by a 41-36 margin at halftime against the visiting Badgers.

LOOKING AHEAD
With 12 games to play on the regular-season schedule, UCLA will play three of its next five games at home. All five of those contests will take place along the West Coast, with one game at Washington this Friday and a game at USC on Monday night. Those road contests will be followed by three consecutive home contests. UCLA will return to Pauley Pavilion for a three-game homestand against Big Ten foes Oregon, Michigan State and Penn State. The Bruins have two more two-game road trips away from the West Coast (vs. Illinois and Indiana, and vs. Purdue and Northwestern).

BRUINS CRUISE PAST IOWA
Five Bruins scored in double figures as the Bruins took down Iowa, 94-70, on Friday, Jan. 17, inside Pauley Pavilion. UCLA raced to a 57-24 halftime lead, the Bruins' largest halftime advantage since taking a 34-point cushion against James Madison on Nov. 15, 2012 (UCLA won that game, 100-70, having led at halftime, 63-29). Eric Dailey Jr. scored a career-high 23 points, connecting on 8 of 12 shots, while Tyler Bilodeau added 18 points. William Kyle III scored a season-high 12 points, sinking 6 of 7 shots. In addition, Dylan Andrews had 13 points and Skyy Clark finished with 12 points.

UCLA FALTERS AT RUTGERS
Rutgers secured a 75-68 win over UCLA on Monday, Jan. 13, using an 8-0 scoring run in the opening minutes of the second half to erase a 33-30 halftime deficit. UCLA's Sebastian Mack and Eric Dailey Jr. each scored 16 points in the Big Ten loss. Rutgers' freshman Ace Bailey registered a team-leading 20 points and had 10 rebounds. UCLA trailed Rutgers by nine points with 5:48 to play and later, with 5:14 remaining. The Bruins cut the deficit down to 63-62 with 2:07 to play, but UCLA was unable to tie the game or take the lead. Rutgers shot 46.2 percent from the field against UCLA (24-for-52).

TALENTED TYLER
Junior Tyler Bilodeau has averaged a team-leading 14.6 points per game and ranks second on the team in rebounding (4.8 rpg). Bilodeau has scored in double figures in 14 of 19 games, having reached the 20-point plateau in three contests. Last month in New York City, he totaled a career-high-tying 26 points in a loss to North Carolina. He has shot 51.0 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from 3-point distance, knocking down at least four 3-pointers in two games. He shot 5-for-6 from long-range in the Bruins' 76-74 loss to North Carolina at Madison Square Garden (Dec. 21). Bilodeau, a 6-foot-9 forward from Kennewick, Wash., spent his first two collegiate seasons playing for Oregon State.

NATIONAL NUMBERS
Through games played on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Bruins ranked No. 31 in the country in scoring defense (64.7 ppg), No. 6 in turnovers forced per game (16.8) and No. 9 in turnover margin (+5.2). In addition, the Bruins have ranked No. 46 in the nation in scoring margin (11.4 points per game). Looking at shooting percentages, the opposition has shot 42.7 percent against UCLA (No. 137, nationally) and 33.3 percent from 3-point range (No. 191, nationally). The latest national metrics on KenPom.com have listed UCLA at No. 19 in the nation in defensive efficiency and No. 58 in offensive efficiency.

SKYY'S THE LIMIT
Junior guard Skyy Clark has recorded an assist-turnover ratio of 2.48 through 19 games (totaling 52 assists, 21 turnovers). Clark joined the Bruins' program in the summer of 2024 after having averaged a team-leading 13.2 points per game as a sophomore at Louisville last season. He enters this Friday's game at Washington with the team's second-highest assist total (52) behind Kobe Johnson (60). Clark totaled 11 points, a career-best nine rebounds and a career-high-tying seven assists in a 65-62 win against Gonzaga. He scored a season-best 15 points in a comeback win over Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 14.

TOP DEFENDER
Senior guard Kobe Johnson has totaled 191 steals in 110 career games (1.74 spg). He enters Friday night's game with a team-best 35 steals (Skyy Clark has totaled 27), having registered 1.8 steals per game in 19 contests as a senior. Johnson had six steals in a win over Cal State Fullerton (Nov. 22), the third time in his career he has logged six in a game. Hailing from Milwaukee, Wis., Johnson earned Pac-12 All-Defensive Team honors the past two seasons at USC. Over the previous two seasons (64 games), he averaged 10.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.2 steals per contest while at USC.

ON THE DEFENSIVE END
Arizona's 54 points scored on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Footprint Center in Phoenix were the fewest by the Wildcats' program since Feb. 8, 2020, when UCLA secured a 65-52 win over Arizona at McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz. The 54 points scored by Arizona were the fewest in a game by the Wildcats in head coach Tommy Lloyd's career in Tucson (now in his fourth season). More recently, Arizona lost to Texas Tech, 70-54, on Saturday, Jan. 18 (tying that 54-point total). Since UCLA's 57-54 win over Arizona last month, the Wildcats have won eight of nine games, improving their overall record to 12-6.

BUZZER BEATER
Dylan Andrews nailed a 3-pointer with under one second left in the game at No. 12 Oregon, helping the Bruins secure a 73-71 victory. That marked the second time in his career in which Andrews hit the game winning shot with fewer than five seconds to play (also, last season against UC Riverside, on Nov. 30, 2023). UCLA's win at Oregon marked the Bruins' first road victory over a top-20 ranked opponent since No. 16 UCLA won at No. 20 Maryland, 87-60, on Dec. 14, 2022. The Bruins have not played a road game at a top-10 ranked opponent since losing to No. 7 Arizona, 76-66, at the McKale Center in Tucson, Ariz., on Feb. 3, 2022 (the Bruins were ranked No. 3 in the nation heading into that game).

MINUTES DISTRIBUTION
Now past the halfway mark in the Bruins' season (after 19 games), no players on UCLA's roster have averaged more than 29 minutes per game, as senior Kobe Johnson has led the team in minutes (averaging 28.2 mpg). Since UCLA began recording minutes in 1978-79, the Bruins have always had at least one player average 30.0 or more minutes per game (by the end of the year). In 2019-20, then-freshman guard Tyger Campbell finished the year as the Bruins' leader in minutes per game, at exactly 30.0 mpg. This year's team has nine players who have averaged at least 10.0 minutes per contest.
