Big Ten Fall Academic Honor Roll Includes 61 Bruins

LOS ANGELES — This fall, 61 UCLA student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday. The sports included are football, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball.
To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of Nov. 1 for fall sports), have been enrolled full-time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
The UCLA football team led the way with 23 honorees, while women's soccer had 10. Men's soccer and women's cross country had eight honorees each, women's volleyball added seven selections, and men's cross country rounded out the list with five academic All-Big Ten selections.
