April 01, 2026 | Women's Volleyball
LOS ANGELES โ UCLA women's volleyball head coach Matt Werle has announced Kylie Miller as an assistant coach for the 2026 season.
ย
Miller returns to Westwood with Division I coaching experience and an accomplished collegiate playing career.
ย
"We're so happy to have Kylie on board with us," Werle said. "After being a setter at UCLA for three years, it made so much sense to bring her back home. She's going to be a phenomenal addition to our program. We're really excited about having her be a part of this programย and I feel like the staff is moving in a really positive direction."
ย
Miller arrives at UCLA after serving as an assistant coach at UC Irvine, where she spent the 2025 season with the Anteaters. Prior to her time in Irvine, Miller was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at CSUN from 2022-23. She began her collegiate coaching career at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in 2021, helping guide the Athenas to a school-record 31 wins, a perfect 16-0 conference mark, and an NCAA Division III semifinal appearance. She also currently coaches with Forza1 Volleyball North.
ย
A native of Rancho Cucamonga, Miller spent her first three collegiate seasons at UCLA, appearing in 179 sets and totaling 1,278 assists, 34 aces, and 211 digs. She helped lead the Bruins to the Elite Eight in 2016, finishing the year ranked No. 6 nationally. Miller completed her career at Minnesota, where she helped the Gophers to a 27-6 record and a Final Four berth. She earned Austin Region All-Tournament honors and was a three-time Big Ten Setter of the Week selection.
ย
"I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to return to the UCLA volleyball program, a place that means so much to me," Miller said. "It's truly special to be back, surrounded by such driven athletes and knowledgeable coaches. Go Bruins!"
ย
Before her collegiate career, Miller starred at Rancho Cucamonga High School, earning Under Armour All-America honors and recognition as a California Gatorade Player of the Year candidate. Ranked the No. 11 overall recruit and the No. 1 setter in the 2016 class by PrepVolleyball, she also excelled with Forza1 North, winning four Junior Nationals medals, including three straight from 2010-12. On the beach, she captured two national titles in pairs competition and received the AAU Joel Ferrell Memorial Award for athletic ability and sportsmanship.
